The Richmond Ambulance Authority and AAA Mid Atlantic would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.  They would also like families that are traveling out of town for the holiday to make sure they have secured their most precious cargo safely before they leave – their children.

Becky Jamison, RAA’s lead Child Passenger Safety Seat Technician says, “Nothing is more important than the safety of our children, and we cannot stress enough how important a correctly fitted car seat is before any holiday trip takes place, no matter how far.“

“Parents will do anything to keep their children safe, however; they commonly install car seats too loosely and tend to adjust the straps improperly,” said Haley Glynn, Traffic Specialist for AAA. “At this event, trained experts will be able to correct these and other issues, ensuring that children are as safe as possible.”

In order to help travelers or anyone that desires to have their seats checked, RAA, AAA Mid-Atlantic, and public safety partners will be holding Car Seat Safety Check stations on the following dates and locations:

Target

7107 Forest Hill Ave

Richmond, VA

3pm – 5pm

Tuesday,  November 26th

Walmart Supercenter

2410 Sheila Lane
