Recently the Richmond Ambulance Authority partnered with Walmart, Richmond Police and Richmond Fire to inspect child car seats at an event held at the Walmart on Sheila Lane.

Car seats and boosters provide protection for infants and children in a crash, yet car crashes are a leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 13. That’s why it’s so important to choose and correctly install the right car seat for your child. While our certified child seat safety technicians inspected child seats at the event, they are always available to inspect them free of charge to City of Richmond residents. Our technicians inspect and instruct parents/guardians on how to properly install a child’s car safety seat as seats can come in different types and sizes.
