Richmond Ambulance Authority is teaming up with the American Heart Association for CPR and AED Awareness week, giving out over 150 free CPR kits in Richmond.

Trainers will be on hand at two events in Richmond to teach people how to administer hands-only CPR, as well as how to use AEDs, in the hopes that this will help save lives.

The first event is at Richmond Fire Station 21’s Community Day on June 15th from 11am -2pm. The fire house is at 2505 Jefferson Davis Highway.

The second event is the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU’s 20th Annual Safety Fair. There will be different stations covering a variety of health topics. RAA will also be there handing out the kits for people to take home to practice the hands-on CPR technique.
