Nothing is more important than the safety of our children. With this in mind, the Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA) has established a free Child Car Seat Safety Check Program for City of Richmond Residents.

RAA’s certified Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians (CPST) will inspect and instruct guardians on proper child safety seat installation. Car seat inspections take place in the Logistics and Production Department.

Appointments must be scheduled in advance. Generally, 30-45 minutes is allotted for an appointment since parent education and involvement is the primary goal. Please call 804-254-1150 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM to schedule an appointment. A maximum of three appointments per day will be scheduled. Appointments are generally scheduled on either Tuesday or Thursday. You may also complete the appointment request form below and someone will contact you at your daytime phone number upon review, usually the next business day.
